Way of the Hunter 2 — Maps

Two reserves, two completely different hunts. Learn the terrain, the biomes and how to get around before you saddle up.

New Laurentia (North America)

The Canadian wilderness of New Laurentia is where the story starts: you team up with a skilled dog trainer and assist the former warden while uncovering the mystery behind unusual behaviour of the local moose population.

  • Big game: moose, elk, bears and bison; small game: rabbits, turkeys and other birds.
  • Updated with Rocky Mountain Pronghorn and Central European Wild Boar.
  • Own Lodge tied to the territory; winter conditions in parts of the map (official screenshots show snow).

Kilimaya Reserve (Africa) — 100 km²

Added in Early Access Update 2 (May 27, 2026). A vast, highly dynamic ecosystem built on contrast: highlands, forests, open grasslands, wetlands, shrublands and sun-scorched barren terrain — all in one diverse environment.

  • Scattered landmarks: ancient stone ruins, remote village settlements, lookout towers and hidden cave paintings.
  • Challenges long-range tracking skills; apex predators and aggressive herbivores raise the stakes.
  • Apex predators: southern lion; massive herbivores: hippopotamus and Cape African buffalo.
  • New Hearth & Hunt characters with their own missions and stories (v0.2.0).
